Hair System Maintenance Bangkok: Re-bond, Refit and Repair — Also for Systems Bought Elsewhere

TL;DR

Hair System Center Bangkok cleans, re-bonds, refits and repairs hair systems on Sukhumvit Soi 13, Trendy Office Building, Bangkok, including systems bought online or fitted by another studio. For our existing clients a clean up & cut costs 1,500–2,000 THB, at intervals that depend on adhesive type and lifestyle; a system typically needs replacing every 8–14 months, at the price of a new system. Maintenance, repairs and refits of systems from other suppliers are quoted after we have seen the system, because what is possible depends on the condition of the base and the hair.

A hair system only looks natural for as long as it is maintained. Adhesive weakens, the base collects oil and sweat, the hair gets lighter in the sun and the cut grows out with your own hair. In Bangkok’s heat and humidity that happens faster than in a cooler climate.

This page explains what a maintenance visit involves, how often you need one, what it costs, and how we handle systems that you bought online or had fitted somewhere else — whether you live in Bangkok or are only in town for a few days.

What happens at a maintenance visit

A maintenance visit is a full reset of the system and the skin underneath it. We work through the same steps every time so the result is predictable.

  • Removal: the system is taken off carefully with a solvent so the base is not stretched or torn.
  • Cleaning: old adhesive is removed from the base and from your scalp, and the hair of the system is washed and conditioned.
  • Scalp check: we look at the skin for irritation and clean the area that the base sits on.
  • Re-bond: fresh tape or adhesive is applied and the system is positioned on your original hairline.
  • Cut and style: your own hair has grown since the last visit, so we blend the two again and style the system the way you wear it.

How often you need maintenance in Bangkok

There is no single interval that fits everyone. How often you need a visit depends on the adhesive or tape you use and on your lifestyle: how much you sweat, how oily your skin is and how often you swim or exercise. We agree a rhythm with you at your first visit.

Signs that you should come in sooner: the front edge starts to lift, the system feels loose when you run your hand over it, the skin underneath itches, or the hair of the system looks dry next to your own hair. Waiting longer than that usually makes the next visit harder and shortens the life of the system.

Even with good care, a base wears out. A system typically needs replacing every 8–14 months. Some clients keep two systems so that one can be cleaned or repaired while they wear the other.

Systems bought online or fitted by another studio

Some people in Bangkok wear a system that they ordered online or had fitted in another city or country, and then need someone local to look after it. We maintain, refit and restyle those systems as well — you do not need to buy a new system from us to become a maintenance client.

What we can do depends on the system. A base in good condition can usually be cleaned, re-bonded and cut to match your hair. A system that is torn, has lost a lot of hair or no longer matches your colour may not be worth repairing; in that case we tell you honestly and show you the options, including a ready-made system in your size.

Please bring the system with you (or wear it) to the first appointment, together with any information you have about the base material and the adhesive you used. A photo on WhatsApp before you come helps us prepare.

Refits and repairs

A refit means re-cutting and re-positioning a system that no longer sits right, for example after your own hair loss has progressed or after a poor first fitting elsewhere. Repairs cover things like a lifted or torn edge of the base or restyling hair that has been cut badly.

Because refits and repairs vary so much, we do not publish a fixed price for them. We look at the system first and give you the price before we start, so there are no surprises.

Frequently asked questions

How much does hair system maintenance cost in Bangkok?

For our existing clients a clean up & cut at the Bangkok studio costs 1,500–2,000 THB. It includes removing the system, cleaning the base and your scalp, re-bonding and a cut to blend it with your own hair. For systems bought elsewhere, refits and repairs we confirm the price after seeing the system.

Do you maintain hair systems bought online or from another studio?

Yes. We clean, re-bond, refit and restyle systems from other suppliers, and you do not have to buy a system from us first. If a system is too damaged to be worth repairing, we tell you honestly and explain the options. Sending a photo on WhatsApp first helps us prepare.

How often should a hair system be maintained?

The right interval depends on your adhesive type and lifestyle, so we agree it with you at your first visit. Come in sooner if the front edge lifts, the system feels loose, the skin underneath itches or the hair looks dry. Bangkok’s heat and humidity weaken adhesive faster, so regular visits keep the system secure.

How long does a hair system last before it needs replacing?

With regular maintenance a system typically needs replacing every 8–14 months. A replacement costs the same as a new system, 12,900–22,800 THB depending on size. Some clients keep two systems, so one can be cleaned or repaired while they wear the other and they are never without hair.

Can I book hair system service while visiting Bangkok?

Yes. If you wear a system at home, you can book a maintenance visit during your trip to Bangkok. We are near Nana and Asok BTS stations, open Mon–Fri 10:00–19:00 · Sat 09:00–17:00. Message us on WhatsApp with your dates so we can reserve a slot.
